Commenting at Not Even Wrong Peter Shor listed three scenarios for the future of the String Theory. The third one is: “Finer examination of the cosmic microwave background reveals a message from God, in which He reveals the true workings of the universe. None of the competing theories come even close to the right answer. (I’m not betting on this outcome either.) “

I am not betting on this outcome either but for different reasons. The Doctors of Philosophy who call themselves physicists and cosmologists routinely read the mind of god. Every cosmological season the same Doctors of Philosophy announce a new reading of the white noise NASA collected for them called the cosmic background radiation. It is a sure thing that in the next cosmological season or so a message from God will be revealed through the cosmic radiation. God always uses human proxy to send his messages to humanity. It is not a coincidence that God’s messages to humanity are always deciphered by some kind of professional Doctors. There is nothing new here. Therefore, since Doctors of Philosophy themselves write God’s message into the cosmic so-called radiation it would be higly unlikely that they will find the String Theory is wrong.
