Naming is the origin of all fundamental building blocks of matter defined by physicists.

Definition is the origin of all things.

Physicists do not observe particles. Physicists name the lines they observe particles.

There is no discontinuity in nature.

All things are conventions.

Names create things by convention. This is how nature works. There is only density continuum particularized by names. Names do not create discontinuities. Names are only labels.

What is dishonest is to use doctoral authority to enforce a name as the absolute true name. It is surprising that humans did not yet realize that ideas too are packaged and marketed as any other product. There are no “physical” things but packages that we perceive as things.

This method of marketing branded definitions has been used by professional classes to rule over regular folks since the beginning of history. History began when professional classes established themselves as the ruling class by establishing a monopoly on the written word.

Science started as a rebellion against this professional monopoly on human knowledge. Some humans started to question the validity of the branded absolute definitions of the professionals. This is how science started. Ever since than professionals have been getting more and more sophisticated in their trade.

With hindsight we see how the scholastic doctors of a previous era enforced their definitions as absolute truth and profited by monetizing their definitions. How come humanity failed so far to learn this lesson? Professionals brand and package arbitrary definitions backed by their authority as absolute truths. We don’t need hindsight to realize that modern scholastics are using the same marketing method to sell their definitions as absolute truth.

There is only one way a scholastic doctor can make a living.¹

1. Define
2. Sell definition to peers and have them name it after you. (Only a few succeed.)
3. Market your definition to the media and the public as the absolute truth.
4. Let next generation of doctors monetize your branded definition by teaching it as absolute truth.

The procedure 1 to 4 describes how doctors turn their definitions into commodities. This scholastic racket is a constant of history. We should not be surprised that each generation of physicists define their own set of particles and market them as absolute fundamental building blocks of matter.
