Infinitesimal is another physic¹ Newton defined to corrupt physics and mathematics. Since then his disciples have been repeating “infinitesimal” without knowing what it is. Such a mathematical perversity does not exist in nature. But Newtonian doctors of philosophy still teach it as part of their Latin called Calculus.

I was reminded of this when I read William Thruston’s On Proof and Progress in Mathematics²

Thruston gives a nice list of how practicing mathematicians understand the derivative “in multiple ways.” The first one is:

Infinitesimal: the ratio of the infinitesimal change in the value of a function to the infinitesimal change in a function.

This is absurd but it is being repeated to save Newton’s authority. To think that for the last three hundred years such an absurdity as an infinitesimal has been taught to generations of poor calculus students to save Newton’s authority shows how nothing changed in the domination of scholastic doctors of human reason.

In order to use derivative and integration you do not need the concept of infinitesimal. You use a unit. That’s it. In both derivation and integration dx is a unit.

Compare the infinitesimal to force. Both of these physics were invented by Newton to establish his school. Newton the master scholastic was a serial definer. Newton’s genius lies in his mastery of marketing techniques and networking. Newton knew how to enforce his definitions as laws of nature.³ By the use of his network Newton established acolytes and disciples. With each disciple his authority increased. Newton also took care to write the Monumental Book for his school and let his disciples call themselves by the title of their master’s book.

To this day Newton’s disciples the physicists are forbidden to dispute Newton’s authority. Instead of questioning absurdities such as force and infinitesimal they teach them yet to another generation.

But we will see the end of Newtonism brought about by the new free flow of information. Newton is exposed now and Newtonism will be toppled.⁴

The beauty of this is that when Newtonism will be toppled Newton’s pupils the doctors of physics will convert overnight and will become the most ardent anti-Newtonians. Note how when communism toppled all communists in Russia overnight became social democrats. Politicians and lawyers are professionals and they behave exactly the same. In just a few years when post-Newtonist area comes Newtonian doctors of physics of today will define Newtonism to be scholasticism and anti-Newtonism to be science. [↩]
