Citizens are suspicious of political slogans but believe physicists’ cosmogonic scenarios without question.
Politicians and physicists are members of hierarchical bureaucracies and they belong to the same profession. Their professional goal is to move up in the hierarchy by exploiting their peers and their constituencies. The constituency of both politician and the physicist are the citizens.1
Today citizens do not look like the ignorant peasants of the Middle Ages tilling the earth but they are as ignorant when it comes to science because they believe they don’t have the intelligence to understand physicists’ theories because physicists tell them that they don’t. Once the citizens will free themselves from the mantra
Nature is Newton is Physics is Science
they will see physicists as what they really are, professional bureaucrats who established a monopoly over human reason and profit by keeping citizens ignorant, just like lawyers and politicians do.
The tool lawyers, politicians and physicists use to exploit the citizens is their professional code defined as true laws. Lawyers’ legal code legislate society. Physics code legislate Nature. The relation of physicists to Science is the same as the relation of lawyers to Justice.
