An Open Letter to Lawyers:

I am planning to form an internet court [Net Court? Web Court? YouCourt? UJury?] to evaluate the speculation “Newtonism is religion.”

This internet court will be conducted as a public international arbitration case and will allow people from around the world to contribute their evaluations. Technology to create such a site is available, e.g. social networking sites. Would you be interested in consulting for such an endeavor? We will need to establish a) the rules of the court, b) the rules for the evaluation of the evidence, and c) a precise description of the subject matter to be evaluated.

Your contribution can be as simple as reviewing this draft for a Charter of Citizen Science in order to put it in a binding legal format. I believe that judges, law professors, lawyers interested in science issues, intellectual property lawyers and law students would be perfect for this case. Please also take a look at this transcript of an imaginary mock trial and feel free to contribute to its development as a text in this wiki, or simply send me your mark up and I’ll do the edits. You may get involved either explicitly in this forum or you can help by contributing anonymously by writing to me. Please help make this a historic case.

Depending on the outcome of the Internet trial I want to file a case similar to Scopes trial in a real court of law. This trial will be marketed as Scopes Trial for the 21st Century. The trial will result in public awareness of the present abuse of human science by the Big Media in collusion with the only unregulated professionals in the world: Doctors of Physics.

The cause is to transfer the scientific authority from unregulated professionals to an independent entity. [Science Exchange Consortium? SEC?]
 
I believe that there are some interesting legal issues here:

1. Regulation of Academic Physics Industry. Academic physics is a professional industry just like law but it is not regulated. Doctors of Philosophy who are the practitioners in this industry define self-regulatory rules and then disobey them. By taking legal action against them on the basis of fraudulant reporting of experiments we will establish regulation in academic physics. The corporate side of physics is already highly regulated and fraudulent reporting is a punisheable crime. Only the Academic side is still unregulated.

2. Sponsoring of Media Shamans by scientific institutions. Today the Big Media defines what science is. Very old and prestigious scientific institutions such as Harvard University are employing in their physics faculty religious fanatics who have no qualms about using the name of Harvard to dispense religious opinions in the name of science. Columbia University lets its scientific legacy be abused by a Media Shaman who markets cosmogonic speculations as science. A legal action against Harvard and Columbia Universities will stop the infiltration of religion into scientific institutions.

3. Cosmology is mythology impersonating science. Cosmologists who are also Doctors of Philosophy use local measurements of a local radiation and call it “cosmic” radiation and claim that the radiation has come from a part of the universe from which no information reaches us. Cosmologists do not have any evidence for their claims which would stand in a court of law. NASA is using taxpayers dollars to develop cosmogonic creation myths.

4. It is unconstitutional to teach Newtonist religion in a classroom. Newtonism is a religious doctrine based on the dogma of Newton’s Soul being the absolute substance permeating the entire universe. Newton’s Soul, also called, Newton’s force, was never observed. Instead, Newtonian Doctors of Philosophy defined an old experiment called the Cavendish experiment done in the 18th century as the miracle in which Newton’s Soul has been measured. This miracle is still taught at public schools as science. I believe that this is a first amendment violation.

5. Scientific activism. Freedom of Science is the most important human right. Global Pioneering, Inc. is a NY corporation established as a vehicle to conduct these legal activist projects.

Please join me in completing the scientific revolution by taking back science from the hands of the Big Media.
