Physics of the occult

A recent post deals with the typical practicing physicist attitude regarding public’s belief in the occult. The practicing physicist is bothered that majority of humans believe in occult things like astrology and telekinesis. The idea is that physicist, the self-declared king of hard core science, (which includes reading the mind of god and such wonderful scientific stuff) tells us that he does not believe in the occult.
With one exception. Professional physicists labeled “occult” as “force.” So physicists are the most dogmatic believers in the occult. They just call it Newtonian force.
The entire physics is based on Newton’s occult force. Force is the faith of the practicing physicist. He believes in the occult as his faith and then chides general public for reading for entertainment the astrology sections in their newspapers.
The post ends with a prophetic sentence:
While it appears that many of these things are “entertainment” and harmless, even the few that actually believe in such things can cause a lot of damage if they happen to be in power or can seduce enough of the public to further their ignorance
How true! The few (the doctors of physics) who are in a position of power (they have Doctoral authority over human knowledge) have been causing “a lot of damage” by “seducing enough of the public” to further their Newtonian religion of force.
And the last sentence highlights the gravity of the situation:
This is no laughing matter.
It will be a laughing matter when the history of the present era will be written. Academic physicists will be considered to be no different than people who believe in astrology and spoon bending forces.
There is a big difference though. People who believe in astrology they do so because they want to or because they find it entertaining.
