Scientific Revolution

Notice how much academic physics is the same as academic painting had been. In both cases education consists of teaching of the dogma. The academic doctors have reduced Old Masters into immutable standard rituals that poor students had to cram for two decades before they could paint their own canvas. For subtle academic reasons brown had become a sacred color and the students had to learn to paint nature in muddy browns. Nature is not made of muddy browns. Nature is not occult either. But the Old Master Newton has painted nature as occult so Newton’s academic disciples have been painting nature as occult.
My first day at Pratt they assigned me a studio and they told me to paint. Imagine this happening in physics. A physics student enters physics and she is given a lab and is told to experiment! What a novel idea. And what an offensive idea to Doctors of Philosophy who make their living by monetizing the authority they earned by so much hard work.
Or imagine that a student entering art school today is told to study Old Masters for fifteen years before she is allowed to do anything of her own. What a crooked way to teach how to paint. Note the exact parallels. Both kinds of academicism teach old rituals they call “techniques” which are good for nothing but to produce more techniques. Of course you see the parallel with the string theory in particular.
What a crooked way to waste brilliant human beings who enter physics by indoctrinating them for 15 years with the muddy occult of a 17th century British low life!
Artists are scientists. Artists are rational people. This makes sense because artists study design. Physicists study Newtonian doctrine. Physicists are not equipped to study nature. Design is the most fundamental science. Physics is a system of high level formalism physicists invented to manipulate underlying design concepts. Symmetry comes to mind. Physicists are poor souls who must translate nature into the muddy doctrines of Newtonism. What a stupid waste of human resources in order to save the authority of the most prolific criminal against humanity.
Let a student enter physics and let her loose in a lab. Whatever the student needs she can look up. Why are scholastic doctors have horror of error? Making mistakes is the only way to learn. Where there is teaching there is no learning. Why are doctors of physics so obsessed with evaluating what students know instead of helping students make things?
Abolish lectures. Instead have crits. In art school every week students bring in their latest work and everyone freely criticizes each other’s work. This is such an alien notion to physicists that they feel weightless and mindless when they cannot impress their authority on students. Outside of the hierarchical authority without the soft comfort of physics dogma a physicist is lost. That’s why physicists never talk particulars but they throw nebulous theories at each other. They clash authorities and they call it doing physics.
Anyway. Let physics students meet every week and discuss the original work they have been doing. The teacher is there to guide, not to police how much of the doctrine students retain in their heads. What you know has absolutely nothing to do with science. It is what you don’t know that counts. Show me what you have made. Your work is science not what you retain. Physics education is proudly stuck in a perpetual state of this rotten scholastic system based on measurement of authority invented during the golden age of scholasticism most commonly known as European dark ages.
When students are treated as intelligent human beings instead of ignorant idiots that must be indoctrinated first thing with Newtonist dogma science will finally arrive to physics. In such a free environment students will start doing scientific work from day one. They will have immense enthusiasm in what they are doing. Don’t waste a human being’s most creative years by teaching as true science the corrupt vision of the British occultist from Cambridge. This is a serious crime against humanity that a future generation raised free of Newtonist occult will judge as such.
To let students to be free researchers is an offensive idea to scholastic doctors of physics. They have spent 20 of their own best years just to accumulate enough scholastic authority so that now at age 40+ they may start doing real work. But they don’t know how. They have no desire to give what they have lost to newcomers.
This is like expecting a painting student who studied Old Masters for 20 years and could paint nothing but shades of brown to go out and paint nature in its full color. He would be blinded by the sun. The poor Newtonian physicists who study Newtonist doctrine for so many years could produce nothing but shades of the Newtonist occult. How creative they must feel when they have the brilliant idea of shading r^2 into r^1.9! Pitiful.
Impressionists went out and looked at nature. Physicists! Go out and look at nature! Stop looking at physics. Physics is not nature. Stop trying to fit nature into physics. Initiate a Scientific Revolution in physics by looking at nature honestly.
Academic physicists! You are like the academic painters of the 19th century still repeating old rituals and calling it science. Why is it that all species of academic doctors are so fond of mythology? Your academic painter cousins were fond of painting huge mythological canvases bathed in brown and you are so fond of painting mythological spacetimes canvases steeped in the absurd. You even invented your own landscape. When is Nature Morte coming into the market? And please spare us the nude.
