The end of Newtonic, Inc.

Cavendish experiment is the crucial experiment which must be used to show that Scholastic Corporation still exists today and it is called physics.

Just like their ancestors refused to look at the Moon through Galileo’s telescope Scholastic Doctors of today refuse to see that Cavendish did not measure the Newtonian occult force.

At first this seems strange. After all Doctors of Physics define their profession as an experimental science. As usual Doctors do not mean what they say.1 In physics experiments are canonical. This means that they are not experiments but definitions. No physicist can question a canonical experiment. This is the reason why pre-Newtonian scholastic doctors would not look through the telescope. In scholasticism it is illegal to question authority. This is so strictly enforced that any sign of questioning of Newton’s authority would end any physicist’s career. No physicist can question Newton’s authority and remain a physicist.

Consider the following historical objects:

  • Scholastic Corporation
    • Peripatetic, Inc.
    • Newtonic, Inc.
    • NextSchool, Inc.

Newtonic, Inc. replaced Peripatetic, Inc. but the superclass Scholastic Corporation continued unharmed. Similarly, NextSchool, Inc. will replace Newtonism and Scholastic Corporation will continue to exist. Newtonism will go down history as Scholasticism because today’s Newtonian Doctors will convert to NextSchool, Inc. and continue to practice scholasticism under a new name. In order to define themselves as scientists scholastic doctors periodically define the previous school as scholasticism.

Therefore, it is important to note that in physics experiments are experiments in name only because they are canonical experiments. Physicists have no professional right to question canonical experiments. That’s why when I mention Cavendish experiment to physicists they always answer by parroting the standard party line about how Cavendish measured Newtonian occult in an experiment.

  1. For an example of ongoing frustruation others also experience because of the slick polemical sophistry practiced by physicists see this post at n-Category Cafe. []
