We are all philosophers now

It Is a Human Perception writes AHughman in a forum dedicated to discussions of big philosophical questions of all sorts. He supports his arguments by citing St. Augustin, the prototypical professional Doctor of European scholasticism.
- Internet has turned us all into philosophers.
In Europe, for thousands of years, only Professional Doctors of Theology and Philosophy were allowed to think about this stuff. They owned the subject. They wrote monumental books that became sole authorities in their fields. Other doctors made their own careers by commenting on the monumental ideas hidden in the monumental book.
Amateur speculators were literally put to death for impinging on Doctors’ turf. It didn’t matter if the amateur speculations contradicted Doctoral wisdom or not. Doctors could turn any statement into a blasphemous statement offending some gods and therefore by association offensive to ideas hidden in their monumental books, therefore sin.
The doctoral objective was to keep amateurs in their place to protect their monopoly on theoretical knowledge. Amateurs had to remain in awe of the supreme knowledge of professional doctors to increase the value of the hidden knowledge.
Doctors collaborated with rulers who used the doctrines produced by Doctors to oppress the population by keeping them ignorant of science but believers in the occult and supernatural. Both doctors and rulers monetized this hidden knowledge by selling it to the population in one form or another.

So now we are all philosophers. We don’t purchase our philosophy from professional doctors but we produce it ourselves. All types of traditional middlemen are disappearing. Will professional Doctors be next? I don’t think so. On the contrary. Doctors have been doctoring the internet from the outset and eventually amateurs will be forbidden to speculate on doctoral topics. Recent discussion about making Wikipedia a professional outfit proves this fact.michigan melvin inf harrington 11thalex demand carrington video onringtone adictspickerington in air ohio members forcefixture torrington 2004 lightringtones i am who alice peacockangeles barrington ca los 2112 sfree alltell lil ringtones boosie Map
