Witten wants to study quantum black holes but he wants to study these side effects of the physics code as exactly solvable toy models.¹

What Witten is studying is called physical mythology.² Physicists created a second nature, third nature, and Nth nature and they classified them under pretty names and they are using them as sand boxes to practice their polemical language called physics and selling the resulting mythological scenarios as true science.

Anti-deSitter space is a popular solution among an infinity of solutions of General Relativity. Anti-deSitter space is related to our world as much as Second Life is related to First Life.

Well, not really. Second Life is good representation of First Life. Anti-DeSitter space has absolutely no connection with the world we are living in. Anti-DeSitter space is N degrees of disbelief away from our world. You must suspend disbelief absolutely to believe in this junk science.

And we are talking about a toy model of a toy solution of a toy universe. So basically Anti-DeSitter toy model is a world where Witten is the absolute King of Kings and God of Gods and Witten has control of everything and simply defines whatever he wants in his Stringy toy fiefdom. And then declares his definitions to be absolute laws of nature. What a fraud.
